Day 25 - Eddie Adams Workshop

October 8

The first day of the Eddie Adams Workshop got underway. Every year I look forward for this weekend. One of my favorite things has been the camaraderie that has been built during my seven years there, it's like no other....anywhere.

Day 24 - At the Drive Inn

October 7

Spent the first half of the morning traveling around Port Jervis, NY looking for photo stories for the upcoming workshop. After that, I took the 209 all the way to Ellenville, to search for more stories. Then slowly made my way to the farm in Jeffersonville. On the way, I had to stop at the abandon La Minette hotel, which had a beautiful decaying Drive-in movie theater.

Day 23 - Brooklyn to Port Jervis, New York

October 6

Harry and Lucas Jackson

Heading over to Lucas's place in Brooklyn, I saw a good friend of mine Aldo Martinez Jr., who I first met in College, and had about every class with. Last I knew Aldo lived in Jersey and last he knew I was in Hawaii. It was so funny yelling out his name on the street and wishing him "Happy Birthday!", which that day also happened to be his birthday. It was a great surprise.

Heading out of the city to meet with Chris Ramirez in Summitville, NY so he can give me the low down on being a producer at the Eddie Adams Workshop.

Day 20 - Iowa City Exhibition

October 3

Lindey Anderson, Lucas Underwood, and myself had an art and photography show at the North Ridge Pavilion in Coralville, Iowa. This was a very exciting show for me because I could share it with my friends and family back home. My first show in the Midwest, a show where my grandpa could come. I loved the fact that we set up the show at 4:30 pm and tore it down at 9:00 pm. It was created just for that and that moment only.

Floating journal on a speed limit sign.

Travis came from Des Moines, so cool of him.

Getting set up, an hour or so before the opening.
