"The San Francisco Exposure Gallery presents a new group exhibit entitled, "As We See It." The exhibit features the work of four up-and-coming documentary photographers: Kainaz Amaria, Elyse Butler, Matt Mallams, and Justin Maxon.
The exhibit showcases a mix of photography, from traditional journalistic storytelling that touches on social issues and street photography, to texture studies and experimentation. With their distinct views, this next generation of photographers has applied their voice and vision to the world they see around them. They have selected the medium of photography to preserve our time and the details that often go unnoticed."

Please join us for the opening of their exhibition If the Way is Open on
Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 from 5:00 - 7:30 pm at The Visions Gallery -
presented by Brooks Institute & Marriott Ventura Beach.
"If the Way is Open is a body of work that portrays the ebb and flow
of life. For us, photography is not just a job, it is a lifestyle. We
follow our intuition and use our cameras as a medium to record the
unique moments that happen in our everyday. We feel that life offers
situations far more strange and beautiful than anything we could come
up with. This work is personal, it is documentation of our feelings
and memories, and our observations of reality. We make pictures to
better understand life as we're living it."
